Základní a mateřská škola sv. Augustina

Founded by the Augustinians in 2010 in Prague, Základní a mateřská škola sv. Augustina (St. Augustine School) is a parochial school that follows the Czech Ministry of Educations's Curriculum with an additional emphasis on creating mindful students with principles rooted in faith and community.

Our School

The Augustinian school has, at its core, an educational program based on the principles of Augustinian pedagogy and long-term pedagogical experience. It draws on Christian and derived moral and ethical values, such as truth, love, friendship, respect, humility, tolerance, solidarity, cooperation, the art of giving and receiving with love and understanding, and the art of forgiving and others.

Our school wants to lead each child to recognize his or her own uniqueness, the value of others, to protect life in any of its forms and to realize the beauty of our world. Adopting these values means recognizing the general laws of the development of nature and society, understanding their mutual connections and being convinced of the mutual harmony in the relationships of man to man, man to nature, and man to God.
