Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
Each week on Thursday evening at 18h we offer Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in Czech in the main church following the form of a Holy Hour with Psalms. *
Every first Saturday of the month at 17h in either St. Barbora's Chapel or the main church, there is a Eucharistic Adoration Hour in English called "Dwell with Him". This silent Holy Hour is meant to be an encounter with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. We provide different meditations in our booklet every month. *
Whether you want to pray with a group the psalms in Czech, pray in silence and contemplation, or just sit in the presence of Christ, you are invited to come and share that time with us.
* Not available during the summer hiatus from June 15th to September 15th
Sacramental Preparation
Reception of the Sacraments requires proper preparation and we are committed to accompanying people in their formation by providing programs for :
-

-

Group Activities
Faith is meant to be shared in community and we feel that activities throughout the year not only bring us knew knowledge but an increased sense of belonging, purpose and fellowship.
Our community hosts a weekly Online Bible Study* every Monday at 19h30, Catholic Young Adults (CYA) meets every Thursday at 19h30, and there are other online groups and retreats running throughout the year.
* Not available during the summer hiatus from June 15th to September 15th
Devotions
Something quite unique about our St. Thomas Parish is that we are made up of four communities all based in different langauges: Czech, English, Spanish and Tagalog. In addition, our Augustinians reflect who we are in that they are all from different countries and language backgrounds.
However, what unites us is the Heart of Christ. Twice yearly, we worship together as a parish for Mass and Processions through Mala Strana. A beautiful fruit of this is that we all get to know each other and welcome each other at each community's events.
You are encouraged to join any prayer group or devotion at St. Thomas such as:
-
Communal Prayer: The Divine Mercy Chaplet* (in Czech)
Wednesdays at 5pm
-
Communal Prayer of the Rosary* (in English)* :
1st Sunday of the month at 10:40 a.m. in the main church
Every Sunday at 9:15 a.m. in St. Barbora's Chapel
-
Devotion to Saint Rita Mass (in Czech) :
The 22nd of each month after Czech Daily Mass
-
Stations of the Cross (in English)
