Youth and Adult
Faith Formation
Our St. Thomas Youth and Adult Catechetical Ministry is in its third decade of passing on the Catholic Faith by educating, nurturing and supporting Catholics in our international parish. Currently, it is the only Catholic Faith Formation program offered in English in Prague.
Classes
Our Faith Formation classes are held every Sunday morning from 9:30 a.m. and are designed for children from 5 years old through their teen years. We also offer a Confirmation class for baptized adult Catholics seeking the sacrament in a classroom in the monastery as well. For those seeking to convert and come into full membership in the Catholic Church, Fr. William's OCIA class is held during a weekday evening.
We believe that at the base of any sound religious education for our community, we must incorporate both a knowledge of the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the experience and adoption of a true life of and in the Faith.
For this reason, our Sunday morning begins in class at 9:30 a.m. and continues through the Sunday Mass by our classes all attending Mass with their catechists. Our younger members are invited to Children's Liturgy of the Word in St. Barbrora's Chapel led by Fr. Juan Provecho, OSA.
Registration begins in September and the first class of the year is on the first Sunday of October.

Children's Liturgy of the Word
Every Sunday, all young people are welcome to join Fr. Juan in St. Barbora's Chapel during the Liturgy of the Word at the 11 a.m. Mass.
Children listen to the same Mass readings, learn the appropriate responses and postures as well as the meaning behind them. Fr. Juan preaches the meaning of the Gospel reading for the day. We close in prayer and return to the main church for the Liturgy of the Eucharist.

Coffee with Fr. William
Every Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m.., parents from our program as well as parishioners from our community are welcome to join Fr. William for coffee and discussions about life and faith in the Refectory.

Youth Choir
St. Augustine wrote, "When you sing, you pray twice." It is with this wisdom that we have formed a youth choir that practices once a month and sings at our monthly Youth Mass.
Under the direction of Janka and Angela, all young people are encouraged to join, learn the songs of the liturgy and create a little community of voices lifting their praise to God!
